Resources for birthing

Prenatal and Postpartum Resources

Choosing the most aligned support team for you and your family is a necessary and empowering part of your entrance into parenthood. It can create security, encouragement, knowledge, and safety to help promote the best possible outcome for you and your birth desires

Something that our culture tends to lack support and communication on, is the space outside of pregnancy, once you have fully stepped into. the new rhythm of what it means to be a mother. Below is a collection of resources to help you navigate through the Fourth trimester and beyond.

May you feel heard, may you feel supported, and may you feel deeply connected to your intuition and the powerful energy of motherhood.

Sydney Geci, Doula

I believe in a world where women are empowered and in awe of their body and intuition. My role as a doula is to bring that inner wisdom and confidence back into the forefront of every birth experience, providing women and families with the knowledge and wisdom of the power of choices, and understanding the role and connection of what it means to step into motherhood from the first moment of conception. I trained with DONA and became a doula in the spring of 2021 and fall even more in love with the practice every birth I attend. I have been a yoga teacher since 2014 and continue to draw in the wisdom of breathing, mental, emotional and physical discomfort management, and introspective, spiritual connection into my birth work. Alongside these teachings, I also put emphasis on the connection and involvement of the partner, or support person, during pregnancy, labor and birth. I will provide a peaceful, accepting, loving and safe space, and I will always honor the wishes and desires of the mother. From my own birth experiences, both medically intervened and non, I will always share the evidence, choice and availability of creating a sense of empowerment for you and the unique experience of every birth.

My husband and I have 2 children who continue to remain our greatest teachers, and in our free time you can always find us in the water or in the dirt.
